LB Super Thor: July 1, 1975 - March 16, 2006

My passion for horses started almost 40 years ago with saddle seat lessons at a Morgan horse farm. A new farm opened next to my childhood home that taught hunt seat and eventually switched over to dressage and eventing. When I was 16 years old, my father bought me my first horse, a Morgan gelding named LB Super Thor.

I started breaking and training young horses for dressage and jumping while attending Siena College. After graduation, I worked for many years in the Pension Consulting field. In 2004, I started my own business, Aering Green Equestrian Center. to share my lifetime knowledge of horses with others. My passion is dressage, but I like to incorporate gymnastics and jumping into each horse’s regimen to give them a balanced and complete training program.

In 2014, I decided to get back in the show arena after years of helping my student achieve their goals on my horses. With the help of Cece Bette’s horse Mystery K and my boy, Obligato, I received my USDF Bronze Medal in 2014. During the 2015 show season, Obligato and I were able to continue to build on our success and I received my USDF Silver Medal. The USDF medal milestones were more meaningful since I bought Obligato (Kody) at 8 months old and trained him myself. I’m so proud of Kody and what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to continuing to learn and grow in our training.

I have owned numerous horses in my career, but the bond and teamwork that I had with Thor is what brought me to where I am today. I credit him with giving me the confidence to make a career with horses.
